This article assumes that you have two PAP2-NA and you want to configure them within the LAN. To set them up so that they can call each other, then you may follow the steps below. Lets also assume device A’s IP address is 192.168.1.50 and device B’s IP address is 192.168.1.51.

Setting-Up IP Dialing

Configure these parameters in device A:

Step 1:
Access the PAP2’s web-based setup page. For instructions, click here.

Step 2:
Once the PAP2’s web-based setup page appears, click Admin log-in then Advanced View.

Step 3:
Click Line 1.

Step 4:
Scroll down and look for SIP settings section. Set SIP Port value to 5060 then click Save Settings.

Step 5:
Click Line 2 and under SIP settings section set SIP Port value to 5061 then click Save Settings.

Step 6:
In Line 1 and Line 2 tabs, under Proxy and Registration section, make sure all fields are blank or no and set Make Call Without Reg to yes and Ans Call Without Reg to yes then click Save Settings.

Step 7:
Under the Line 1 tab, go to the Subscriber Information section, and set Display Name to what you want to be displayed when you call. Set the User ID to 11 and leave other fields empty then click Save Settings.

Step 8:
Under the Line 2 tab, look for the Subscriber Information section and set Display Name to what you want to be displayed when you call. Set the User ID to 12 and leave other fields empty then click Save Settings.

Step 9:
In Line 1 and Line 2 tabs Dial plan section Dial Plan field set (<21S0<:@192.168.1.51:5060>|22S0<:@192.168.1.51:5061>) and set Enable IP Dialing to yes.

Configure these parameters in device B: (2nd PAP2)

Step 1:
Under Line 1, go to the SIP Settings section and set SIP port to 5060 then click Save Settings.

Step 2:
Under Line 2, look for SIP Settings and set SIP port to 5061 then click Save Settings.

Step 3:
Under Line 1 and Line 2, go to the Proxy and Registration section and make sure all fields are blank or set to ‘no’ except Make Call Without Reg and Ans Call Without Reg should both be set to yes then click Save Settings.

Step 4:
Under Line 1, go to Subscriber Information and set Display Name to what you want to be displayed when you call. Set the User ID to 21 and leave other fields empty then click Save Settings.

Step 5:
Under Line 2, go to Subscriber Information and set Display Name to what you want to be displayed when you call. Set the User ID to 22 and leave other fields empty then click Save Settings.

Step 6:
Under Line 1 and Line 2, go to Dial Plan and set the Dial Plan to (<11S0<:@192.168.1.50:5060>|12S0<:@192.168.1.50:5061>) then set Enable IP Dialing to yes.

How it works:

– To call device A Line 1 from device B (any line) dial 11.
– To call device A Line 2 from device B (any line) dial 12.
– To call device B Line 1 from device A (any line) dial 21.
– To call device B Line 2 from device A (any line) dial 22.
